The Department of Surgery at Tanana Valley Clinic has one full time permanent general surgeon. His practice includes surgical evaluations and operations on the organs of the abdomen and chest. Specific conditions treated are cancer, gastroesophageal reflux disease, gall bladder stones, peptic ulcer disease, large and small intestine disease and hernias.
In addition, his practice includes vascular surgery, endocrine surgery and trauma surgery. Laproscopic and thoracoscopic, video-assisted, minimally invasive techniques are utilized as well as traditional open surgical approaches.
